the oregon cascades 100 mile race

At work, we have an employee adventure stipend that renews annually. I feel very passionately about using said stipend, and global crisis permitting, I fully intended to use my 2021 $$s on sumn fun. Figuring domestic would be slightly less likely to get messed up, I set my sights on Oregon. It was a new state for me, in an area I’ve spent next to no time in (nice ta meet ya, PNW). The Beaver State is also CHOCK FULL of outdoorsy buddies I have met over the years, especially in my work life. And coffee. And beer! Oregon was enticing enough on its own, but there was another reason for me to head west: the Oregon Cascades 100 Mile Ultramarathon.

“Theresa, you ran 100 Miles????” Sure didn’t, pal. But one of my bestest buds Spogs was attempting it, and I love a transitive-property sufferfest, so out I went to Bend on my #semisponsored #notrunningadventure.

And I rented this sweet support van- more to come on that road trip next week!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words…

Now I feel like I need to run an ultra…. Hmmmmm…… !!!
